Darrell Gwynn: At Full Throttle: Truimphs and Tragedies
Darrell Gwynn: At Full Throttle: Truimphs and Tragedies from a Life Lived at Speed.
At 7, Darrell Gwynn was piloting a scaled down dragster designed and built by his father. By 17, he had earned his first professional competition license, and by 1990, Darrell had worked his way through the ranks to become one of America's hottest NHRA Top Fuel drag racers. Then, on Easter Sunday 1990, his car broke apart in a violent fireball at more than 200 mph during an exhibition run. Darrell suffered a broken neck, lost his lower left arm, and retained only limited use of his right arm. Confined to a wheelchair, he would never race again. But rather than slow Darrell down, the disabilities provided yet another challenge that he was determined to meet. This is Darrell's personal and revealing story.

1988 Daytona 500 NASCAR DVD
The 30th running of the Daytona 500 on Valentines Day 1988 is a day that will always be remembered by NASCAR fans. It was the first race to feature restrictor plates, as well as the first race that Dale Earnhardts #3 car featured the famous black paint scheme. Even with the restrictor plates, the race had its share of tense moments. Richard Petty narrowly escaped without serious harm after a wild accident on lap 106. This day, though, would belong to another of racings famous families, the Allisons. After Bobby Allisons crash at Talladega in 1987 helped usher in the era of restrictor plate racing, he would get redemption by edging his son Davey Allison by two car laps at the finish. The win made Bobby the oldest driver to win the Daytona 500 at 50 years of age. Dont miss out on one of NASCARs greatest races at Daytona as father and son make history in the new dawn of racing. WAS $24.99
